It is getting around that time of year when everybody is excited about football games and cheerleaders and bands, but there’s something missing…the Flag Corps.

The Flag Corps are an elite group of individuals who dedicate their time and effort to learn the art of flag twirling. They are usually in line with bands and their directors.

“My motivation to join flag corps was to show that our school has more than just a band,” Flag Captain Jessica Gutierrez said.

Sophomore Abbie Lamberth joined for other reasons.

“I thought it would be fun and a really good experience,” Lamberth said.
