The Golden Pride band is taking a new turn in the theme music this year and will be adding something new to the show.

The band is performing a Spanish themed show called  Bailamos.

“I like how it has a good upbeat rhythm, and its challenging musical qualities,” saxophone Abbie Lamberth said.

This year the band is going to be adding the Color Guard consisting of Mary Parrish, Emily Parrish, Natasha Garcia, Abbie Lamberth, and Jessica Gutierrez to the marching program. They will be performing at the conclusion of the show.

“I feel very excited about what our Color Guard team will accomplish, and the new experiences we will receive,” Lamberth said.

The band will be taking this show to UIL competition on October 19.

“I am very excited and scared to be performing at competition this year,” saxophone Jakoby Holder said.
