“Second Chance Summer” review
May 16, 2022
Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson is a fiction drama book. The main character is a 17-year-old girl named Taylor Edwards. Her dad, Robin Edwards, has pancreatic cancer and only 3 months left to live. Her family decides to travel back to their beach house where they went in the past for summer vacation. Taylor battles with her first boyfriend and her ex-best friend. All at once, she has to cope with her dad’s disease and the fact that she only has three months to spend with him.
If you are interested in romance, tragedy, and drama this book is for you. The emotional-rollercoasters are phenomenal. After the first chapter, I couldn’t stop reading; it is my new favorite book. I give this book a 5-star rating because the story helps you realize the suffering that people go through while also showing the positive side to things.
I would recommend this book to people 12 years and older because there is mild language and a handful of romance scenes. Overall this book is a 10 out of 10, and I would highly recommended it.
