Homemade Cheese Ball
January 13, 2021
This easy and delicious cheese ball recipe has been used in my family for years now and it has been brought to many family functions and parties with friends and is always a huge hit.
Ingredients:
- 4 (8-oz) pkgs. Philly Cream Cheese
- 1 Tbls. Hellman’s mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. Cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp. Paprika
- ½ tsp. Accent
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. Tabasco
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 1 ½ cups pecans, chopped
Let cream cheese soften at room temperature. In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients with the softened cream cheese except the green onions and pecans. It is hard work but use a stout, wooden spoon. After the 8 ingredients are thoroughly blended, stir in the chopped onions. Form a ball shape on wax paper, cover with wax paper and refrigerate for at least two hours. (Overnight is best.) You can make one very large ball or two smaller ones. Once the ball has cooled and hardened, remove the wax paper and roll in pecans. Serve on a tray with crackers of your choices (I prefer Veggie- flavored.)
