This is a recipe I like to use when I am making chocolate chips cookies. It’s a chocolate chip recipe that is easy to make on a Saturday night. The best part is them tasting so delicious.

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoon hot water
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Mix together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, and then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water, and then add it to the batter along with salt. Stir in the flour and chocolate chips. Place the dough by large spoonfuls onto an ungreased pan. Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.
