Thank you family and community, Mikayla Whitmire

Dear Mom,

I really don’t even know where to start because this letter would be a million pages long if I thanked you for all that I should! Thank you for not only being my mom but my best friend as well. As I’m growing up and about to be on my own I want you to always know that I will never forget all the amazing memories we’ve made together.  

 As far as school goes; thank you for all the advice on those essays and always pushing me to get my work done in ag no matter how many times I pushed it off. You never let me slack even though I really did NOT want to do any kind of work whatsoever. 

Outside of school, you were more than a mom. I strive every day to be just like you even though I know that’s never possible because you’re near perfect. Thank you for being the absolute best role model a person could ever ask for. I look up to you like you’ll never know. 

Writing this letter made everything sink in a little… This is it. In a few days, I will graduate high school and have to be a grown-up for the rest of my life. No matter where I go in life I will always carry all of the kind words and amazing advice you taught me. I love you beyond words could ever explain. Thank you for everything.
