Thank you family and community, Jake Strahan

Dear Mom,

I’m writing to tell you to thank you for everything you have done for me. I know sometimes it has been tough for you because I’m a little hard-headed. From helping me with my schoolwork to setting up things with my sports I know it caused a lot of stress, but that didn’t stop you from coming home and being the best mother you can be. So many late nights coming home from games and I would still come home to something cooked for me. Also going to stores in towns you barely have been to, going out of your way, and finding me extra drinks so I wouldn’t dehydrate. 

The thing I am most thankful for though is you staying on me to do my school work. Making sure that I kept my grades up because you knew what was best for me down the road. Since I was a little kid you have always put me first before even yourself and if that doesn’t make a great mother then I don’t know what does. You are one of the main reasons I am who I am and I am eternally grateful for that.
