Thank you family and community, Thomas Peek

First of all, this must be super awkward to grade a paper by your kid much less one written to you. Hopefully, you like it enough to let me graduate. Anyways, here it goes.
So, at the age of what? Thirty-eight? You decided to have me. You watched me grow up and mentored me through almost every step of life. You’ve helped through heartbreak, stress, and some pretty stupid situations, too. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I know sometimes I may not necessarily act grateful, but I truly am. You’ve coached me to at least 1 state championship (we both know it would have been 2) and helped me through life so much. Without you, I wouldn’t have been able to travel, eat, or even be alive, so for that, I thank you.
You’ve never put yourself first and I’m so thankful for what you’ve sacrificed and done for this family. You’re, by far, one of the strongest and most powerful women I’ve ever met in my life and there are no signs that you’re going to slow down any time soon. You’re sweet, loving, and most importantly my Mom. I love you. Please let me graduate.
