Dear Mr. Merrifield,
You have impacted my life in so many different ways. When you became my teacher three years ago, I was the shy girl. I didn’t really talk to you. You made it your mission to get me out of that stage. It all started with getting me to join teams.
You gave me the confidence in stepping out of my comfort zone. I decided to run for officer the end of my sophomore year. I didn’t know that would be the best decision of my entire life. I became so in love with the wonderful organization. I tried to be involved with everything in the organization. I began showing my junior year. I started with chickens; I absolutely hated them. I fell in love with my next project.
I began to show pigs. I didn’t realize how much you have already changed my life. I soon realized when all I did was something within the organization. I ran for officer again at the end of my junior year. I received the position of president. Little did I know, this was going to be the best year of my high school career.
I wouldn’t have been so involved if you wouldn’t have pushed me so hard. You have made a very big impact on my life. I strive to be as good of a teacher as you. Thank you for all the guidance and support. My life has been changed for the better.
I would have never been so involved. You pushed me to achieve so many goals in life. I can’t wait to follow in your footsteps and become an ag teacher. Thank you for all the commitment you have shown to our chapter. You push all your students to be the best version of themselves.
Sincerely,
Jessica Holder
