Dear Mom,
You have taught me so much in life and I will forever be thankful to have you as my mom. Not only you are my mother but you are also my best friend. You have taught me the good and bad things in life, you have also shown me how to be a good person to everyone else. You and dad have always tried to give my sister and me the best in life.
I’ve looked up to you ever since I was little. We may have our ups and downs but that’s part of a mother and daughter friendship. You have taught me so many good things in this life such as cooking, and loving other people, and sharing things. There are not enough words to even describe how important you are in my life, Mom, and you continue to influence how I live mine.
You have always been here for me to love me and care for me when I felt like no one else did. You are amazing, strong, selfless, and loving. The day I had to leave Mexico to come to the United States was one of the toughest days for me because I was always with you. Being away from you for two years was the hardest time ever.
Now that I’m older, mom, thank you for never leaving me in a shopping cart and running away even though I know how tempting it was. I don’t tell you how important and special you are in my life, but, I am forever grateful for all that you are and who you have taught me to be.
I know I never tell you to face to face that I love you but I do. I am sorry for the worry that I have ever put you through as I am growing and learning new things in life. You have made me laugh through the hardest in life.
Thank you once again for all the good things that you have given me in life. I thank the Lord for giving me the mother that you are and I thank you for giving me the love you always have. I love you and dad more than words can describe, yall are my world and I wouldn’t know what to do without you or my dad.
Sincerely,
Britany Izaguirre
