Thank you family and community, Adam Gilliland

Dear Mitzi Toups, 

 I don’t even know where to begin: you have been there for me through thick and thin. No matter where or was or what I was doing you always offered an extra hand. You have taken care of me for as long as I can remember.

 I still remember the times where you would take me to Nanny’s house, and we would play in the dirt pile and go catch crawfish in the ditch. Not only have you always been there for me you have introduced me to some great people with amazing opportunities, take Paw Paw Charlie for instance. He was one of the most wise and kind men I have ever gotten to be in the presence of, all thanks to you. He could always tell when I was going through tough times because I would always get a phone call telling me to come down because “ he wrote you another article and he wants to read it to you.”If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have had the pleasure of knowing that amazing man, and for that I thank you. 

I cannot count on one hand how many times you’ve offered me and the boys to come down and have a visit on the front porch and you would always bring us a coke and an ice cream sandwich. You have always been extra sweet and kind to me and it shows. There is no doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t be the person I am today without your help.
