Thank you staff, Seth Fox

Dear Mr. Micheal Smith,

My first initial thought when coming to the school was that it was going to be just like all my other schools, boring, trying to shy away from the teachers and staff, and make do with the friends that I’ll make along the way. Not to sound cliche or cheesy, but it didn’t turn out the way I thought. I made lifelong friends that I know I’ll visit, just to catch up and laugh with. I was dumbfounded when I realized that the school staff treated me with respect instead of a burden or another thing that I have to just deal with. This is the smallest school I’ve ever been to, but it’s been the best without a doubt.

The staff truly wanted me to succeed even if it was, at times, with “tough love”. Being an office aid for you and Mrs.Robin also changed my perspective of “going to the office”. Over this year I’ve been able to laugh and be myself with y’all and that makes me glad that I moved this school. I’ve also noticed that your personality reaches everyone, not a select few. You are definitely respected by the staff and it reaches past the title of Principal. They may work for you but I can tell they care about you.

The major thing that I genuinely appreciate about you is that you act like a leader, in a leader’s position. What I mean by that, is that you show enthusiasm in a workplace that lifts other people’s spirits, including my own. People can actually depend on you. When there are students acting out, where you seem to have to rush to the rescue, you talk to calm them down, rather than talk down to them;  it makes you a leader and shows you actually care for these students. I wish I moved to school a lot sooner so that I could have experienced these things for years to come.

I don’t think that my perspective is only my own, it is hard not to notice good people. I truly want to thank you for welcoming me to this school and being a good principal to its students.

Thank you

Sincerely,

Seth Fox
