Agriculture is the science or practice of farming, including cultivation of the soil for the growing of crops and the rearing of animals to provide food, wool, and other products.

“I understand the importance of agricultural programs in schools and their importance to our society,” Freshman Quinton Whitestar said.

At our school, there are eight agricultural classes. These classes are principals of AG, floral design, equine science, small animal management, veterinary science, introduction to AG mechanics, welding 1, and welding 2.

“I like the selection of classes’’ Freshman Braxton Poland said.

You can learn many skills and life lessons from taking these classes. You could learn adaptability, interpersonal skills, time management, organization skills, and personal leadership skills.

“I have learned how to hunt ethically and I have gained better communicational skills,” Freshman Darren Dawkins said.
