Sugar Cookie recipe

This is a recipe I love to use when making sugar cookies, the fun part is being able to put the icing on it after it is done baking.

  • 2 ¾ cups of flour 
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda 
  • ½ teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 ½ cups of sugar
  • 1 egg 
  • 1 ¼ teaspoon of vanilla
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. 
  2. Stir the flour, baking soda, and baking powder together, then set aside.
  3. In a bowl cream/mix together the butter and sugar.
  4. Beat egg and vanilla in the wet mixture. 
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture into wet mixture.
  6. Put dough into 1 inch balls on a pan that has parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10 to 15 min, or until golden brown around the edges of the cookie.

Note: When you are rolling the cookie dough into balls you can roll the dough balls into some sugar, so when they come out of the oven they will have a sweet taste.
