October 16, 2019
Dominik Riley is one of the two junior boys on the 2019-2020 Homecoming Court who was chosen to represent their class this year.
He had one thing to say when he heard he made court.
“Cool, I made it,” Riley said.
He participates in two events.
“One act play and UIL science,” Riley said.
He looks up to his stepdad for many reasons.
“He’s always been there after my mom and dad divorced. My dad moved to Mississippi, and my mom married my step dad. He’s always been like a father figure so I just go by him,” Riley said.
His most memorable moment happened his freshman year.
“I was so worried about advancing from one act play, and when we made it to area, it was exciting because it’s a feeling of accomplishment when you move up in something, and it started very early in my high school career,” Riley said.
His outlook on high school has changed over the years.
“When I was going into high school, I thought it was going to be really awful but then, really if you just do what you do. Don’t mess with anybody it’s really just easy,” Riley said.
